Installing and Activating the Customizr Pro Theme

This lesson demonstrates how P.L.E.M. Academy students install and activate the Customizr Pro theme on their personal WordPress websites. The theme is provided as part of the website setup process and serves as the foundation for the student’s online portfolio, resume, textbook project, and professional presence.

Step 1: Download the Theme

Students begin by downloading the Customizr Pro theme ZIP file provided through P.L.E.M. Academy.

The downloaded ZIP file should remain compressed and should not be extracted before installation.

Step 2: Navigate to Themes

From the WordPress dashboard:

  1. Select Appearance.
  2. Select Themes.
  3. Select Add New Theme.
  4. Select Upload Theme.

Step 3: Upload the ZIP File

Choose the downloaded ZIP file and upload it to WordPress.

Once uploaded:

  1. Select Install.
  2. Select Activate.

The theme is now installed on the website.

After activating the theme:

  1. Return to Themes.
  2. Locate the Customizr Pro license area.
